A hanging dark presence looming

From the haze approaches a figure
A shadow, a void, a chasm of nothingness
As it draws nearer, shivers shoot through my soul
Encased in smoke
This demon trudges forth
With me in its gaze

"I am the lord of lies, a beast of illusion
The great deceiver

I've gone to the end of the earth
To find an answer
